The Brewar Ride remembers Brent Warnecke the way he’d want — on two wheels, with friends, raising scholarship money for Shelby County students.
The ride
The 2026 Brewar Ride took place June 6th. Riders tackled up to 20 miles before gathering for the post-ride celebration at the Half Liter BBQ for food, drinks, and good company. The day also included a bicycle giveaway through Change by One and Big Brothers Big Sisters, putting first bikes in the hands of kids in the program.
Brewar Bike shirts
The ride shirt used to disappear when the ride did. Not anymore — Brewar Bike tees are available year round, and every shirt funds the scholarship.
The scholarship
Proceeds fund the Brent C. Warnecke Memorial Scholarship, awarded each year to Shelby County students through the Blue River Foundation.
The ride is one day. The fund is year-round.
